1. Introduction

Welcome to LastPlayerStandingGames ("we", "us", "the Site"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Site and your participation in any "Last Player Standing" football competition hosted on the Site ("Competition"). By creating an account, creating a Competition, or joining a Competition, you agree to these Terms.

The Site is provided for entertainment and social purposes only. No prizes, winnings, or payouts are offered by the Site.

Host: the person who creates a Competition. The Host can manage Competition settings and invite players and (if applicable) is responsible for any hosting fee.

2. Beta Service

The Site is currently operating in beta. This means features may change, be removed, or behave unexpectedly. We may suspend the beta or parts of the Site for maintenance or improvements, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and participate.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and must not impersonate another person or create accounts for fraudulent use.
- We may request proof of age (and, where relevant, location) to protect the integrity of the Site.

4. Hosting and Fees

Free while we’re in beta. No player limits.

After beta, most Competitions are expected to remain free. If we ever introduce optional hosting fees, they would only apply to large Competitions, and any pricing would be shown clearly before you create the Competition.

Players never pay the Site directly; only the host would ever be responsible for any hosting fee (if applicable).

5. How to Play

- Each participant selects one football team each Game Week (subject to the Competition settings).
- If your selected team wins, you progress. If your team draws or loses, you are eliminated.
- Picks must be submitted before the published cutoff time for that Game Week.
- If you fail to make a selection before the cutoff, the outcome depends on the rule the Host chose when creating the Competition: either the Site automatically assigns you the first available team (alphabetically) that you have not yet used (the default), or you are eliminated. The assignment rule is deterministic and is applied consistently to all participants in that Competition.

6. Competition Rules and Outcomes

- Each Competition continues until one player remains. If all remaining players are eliminated in the same round, they are all reinstated and play continues — there is always a single winner.
- Where a round is affected by postponed fixtures or other exceptional scenarios, the Site applies its published handling rules (see the Rules page) and we may correct outcomes where there is a clear data or processing error.
- The host may run multiple Competitions, and participants may join multiple Competitions (unless a Competition restricts this).

7. Fixtures, Results, and Disruptions

- Fixtures, kickoff times, and results may be supplied by third-party sources and may be delayed, corrected, or updated.
- If a match is postponed, abandoned, or cancelled, we will apply the Site’s handling rules for that Game Week and notify participants where practical.
- We reserve the right to correct standings or outcomes where there is a clear data error or processing issue.

8. No Prizes, No Wagering

The Site does not offer cash prizes, rewards, or payouts. Any recognition (such as leaderboards, badges, or status) is non-monetary and has no transferable value.

You must not use the Site to run or promote gambling, wagering, or paid entry arrangements through the Site’s features. (If you arrange payments privately outside the Site, you do so entirely at your own risk and responsibility.)

9. Payments and Refunds (If Applicable)

If a hosting fee is introduced and you choose a paid tier:
- Fees are shown at checkout and (unless stated otherwise) are one-off per Competition creation.
- Fees are normally non-refundable once a Competition has been created, except where we cancel the Competition due to a technical or operational fault on our side.
- Where a refund is due, we may refund to the original payment method or provide account credit, at our discretion.

10. Fair Play and Conduct

- You must not cheat, collude, harass other users, manipulate outcomes, or misuse the Site.
- We may remove participants, close Competitions, or suspend/terminate accounts that breach these Terms or undermine fair play.
- We may take action without notice where required to protect users or the integrity of the Site.

11. Intellectual Property

The Site, its branding, and its software are owned by us (or our licensors). You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the Site except as permitted by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

- The Site is provided on an "as is" basis, especially during beta.
- We are not responsible for technical issues (including downtime, connectivity problems, delayed data, or third-party data errors) that affect access or play.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profits, or missed opportunities arising from use of the Site.

13. Privacy

By using the Site, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information for account management, service operation, communications, and (where applicable) payments.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on the Site. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect indicates acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
